Dear Mr. Arnold:

Before continuing any further, may I suggest you take a moment to first print out this page which you can then utilize as your guide while viewing the six sample websites. Three are client sites and the other three are CWD sites. Below please find a listing of the various features which have been utilized in the sample websites.

Website #1: CWD - (main site)

The 'read time' for the main text is approximately 3-minutes. This website is best viewed at 800 x 600 pixel resolution using either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Browsers. The background is a designed image with an embedded logo & header. Teal coloring has been used to create a 'soft look'. It shows well in either bright or dim light. The background music is there to show that you can have background music or a recorded voice message of your choice. It can be coded to auto-start or be manually started/repeated/stopped by the viewer (scroll down to bottom of the page to see music console). It can play a pre-determined amount of times in a loop. Also should you wish - you can introduce a voice message in place of music. Near the end of Website #1 are four 'Javascript' buttons which will link you to the other Sample Websites. The last button(link) is used to send email to a pre-determined email address. When clicked, it will start your email program and automatically insert my email address. When the site first 'opened', I inserted a routine which opened the page from the center with a circle increasing in size. This has been done to create a focus for the viewer and to 'buy time' until the file completes downloading from the Server

Important: As you will be viewing different websites & links - use the [back] button on your browser to retrace your steps or close the browser which will return you to my email message and the original link to your temporary webspace.

Link #1: Wandering Wolf Tours.

This site is presently under Construction for the Client. Many of the links are not yet functional. Content is in draft form. Site is scheduled for completion within seven days time. Waiting for Client to provide text material to be able to continue. Note that the Navigation Bar (after clicking on the English Version button) has been created using 'text links' rather than 'image links'. Its' action is instant. No waiting time. Lots of links to 'other sites'. This has been done provide services to the viewer and to increase quantity of hits received.

Link #2: Brushstrokes Signs & Awnings Ltd.

This Website utilizes the concept of 'Frames'. Rather than each page being one single file, the page is are composed of several different files with each piece(file) scrolling independently. Very much like the pieces in a jig saw puzzle. On the left-hand side of the screen is a navigation bar where each button(link)is created by an image(file). These buttons(links) are bandwidth hogs and open slowly. The button(link) design is a specific request fron the Client. These links can be made via alternate coding to open instantly and also to take up much less space on the page. The left-hand side of the page is static - it does not move. The right hand side is dynamic and changes when the buttons(links) are clicked on. This website has approximately 40+ photographs to show their product portfolio. The pictures could have been sized smaller to make them load quickly. Again, this was the Client's choice. Note that the transitional opening of the previous website cannot be used with 'frames'

Link #3: CWD - (frames)

This website is similar to the Broshstrokes site in that it also utilizes 'Frames'. The same color has been chosen for the backgrounds of the 4-files. 3 out of 4 of the frames are static and do not move. The 4th (middle,right-hand side) is manually scrolled by the viewer to read the individual "picture frames". With all backgrounds the same color, the result is that it creates a seamless - yet movable piece. Isolating the text into 'billboards' allows the viewer to better focus on the message. From the top right-hand corner is scrolling text. This is called a 'Marquis'. The bottom of the page provides a service to the viewer. SiteInspector is a free utility which permits a visitor to run some validation checks on a URL (Unique Relative Location), or webpage or site. It is simply a courtesy link. Creating links to 'other' websites on the Internet, is used as a marketing tool to increase the number of 'Hits' or viewers that reach your website, view its' contents, and your message. On the left-hand side of the page is an animated link (NeoPlanet). It is a free browser which is easily tailored to one's individual tastes. Again, this will bring many more customer's to your website as you are offering something of value for free. At the botton left-hand side of the page is a link to a completely separate website which includes many well known Searh Engines and also many specialty Search Engines for very specific type of queries on the Internetet. The details of this website will be discussed later on in this document.

Link #4: Ian McTavish, Barrister & Solicitor.

Once again, this site utilizes 'Frames'. On the right hand side a 'form email' is used. This is to standardise all incoming emails and to ensure the information you require is collected. Makes it much easier to follow-up on any email requests. I have used a 'free service' on this page to reduce the ongoing costs to the Client. The trade-off is the two small advertising rectangles at the bottom of the page. The service receives the form mail and converts it to an email which it sends to you. It is an 'instant service'. You will notice that after the email form is a courtesy link. This is included to increase the site's exposure and number of hits received on the Internet.

Link #5: CWD - Search Engines.

Most people are not aware that there are virtually thousands of Search Engines available on the Internet. Most people have a favorite, such as Yahoo.com or AltaVista.com which they use for all of their 'searching' on the Internet. The reality is that each Search Engine is very different. They are programs which different people have authored and like people, have their own 'personalities'. The same search on different Search Engines will result in different results. I have catalogued a collection of 'everyday' Search Engines and also a number of topic specific Search Engines. For example, If you were looking to research and/or purchase a new or used vehicle, on the Internet - you should use an Automotive Search Engine to produce the optimum results. This topic specific Search Engines only understands how to find vehicles. Being a 'specialist' the results are far superior than i.e. Yahoo.com. Internet Users are always looking for a better way to search the topics they are interested in surfing. Having a link to such a website should drastically increase hits to one's website.
